DEPOSITS
A deposit of 30% of the trip cost is required on a per person basis at the time of booking, and or a deposit of 30% of the trip cost for all private groups. FINAL PAYMENTS
Full payment is due 10 weeks prior to the first day of your scheduled heliski trip. Payments can be made via Bank Wire transfers. All payments are to be made in euros. Please identify all payments clearly with your name, address, date of the trip, and if applicable group name.
A reservation may be canceled if we have not received full payment by the due date.
Last-minute clients making a reservation 10 weeks or less prior to the scheduled trip must pay in full upon making a reservation. If needed, extra time can be arranged for full payment.
CANCELLATION
If it becomes necessary for you to cancel your reservation, we require notice in writing. If we receive a cancellation notice more than six months prior to the skiing or trekking date, all the money on the deposit will be refunded less than 800.00 Euro per person. If we receive a cancellation notice less than six months prior to the heliski trip, the 30% deposit is non-refundable. When we receive a cancellation notice less than 10 weeks prior to the skiing date all money on the account is non-refundable. Monies on deposit will not be carried forward to future seasons. Obviously, this cancellation policy does not apply to last-minute clients. Last-minute clients are required to pay in full at the time of making the reservation.
HELISKI HOURS
If we have an exceptional day with excellent snow conditions and weather, we will likely ski more runs and fly more hours. Should this happen, we could end up using the guaranteed hours before the trip is over. At this time, you would still have the hotel room and meals covered for the week, but if you wish to continue skiing, you would have to buy more hours. The cost per hour would be split up between those who wished to continue skiing. This is standard in the heliski industry and while it doesn’t happen that often, we want to make you aware of the situation in case it does come up.
If we don’t fill the trip, instead of canceling the trip, we would take the hours given to each person and share the cost of those hours among the group to make the heliski week work. For example, say it’s a group of 8 with 12 flying time hours, 8 pax divided into 12 hours is 1.5 hours per person. If we only came up with a group of 7, then we would take the 1.5 hours for the missing client and split the cost of the 1.5 hours among the group of 7, a group of 6 would be a 3 hours, etc. In this way, we can still run the trip, as the given hours for the heliski week are necessary to make the heliski week work.
REFUNDS
Our heliski trips begin and end on specific days. No refund is given, in whole or in part, for unused days or transportation, resulting from late arrival, early departure, or for any other reason. Likewise, there are no refunds given for ‘Down Days’ if bad weather or helicopter breakdown prevents us from skiing on any given day. We heliski Monday through Friday and use Saturday for a make-up day if we miss a day during the week.
Heliski Consultants Ltd’s guarantee is based on runs or hours, which ever comes first. We guarantee 20 runs per week and will pay a €50 per missed run up to 20 runs. However if we fly over the given hours before we make 20 runs, then there will be no refund for missed runs. We do not refund unflown hours as we have to pay the helicopter company the flying time hours given for the week whether we fly or not. If the group wishes to fly more hours on any given day, or go into other areas and exceeds the flying time hours allotted for the trip, the guarantee for hours or runs quoted will no longer be valid. Once we go over the given hours, if you wish to keep skiing, then you will need to purchase more flying time hours. Due to the constantly changing prices for parts and fuel, the hourly rate will be given at the beginning of the season. Any discounts or hotel upgrades given will be deducted from the refund should that happen. Any credit given towards another trip is valid for two years, after two years the credit expires. We recommend that you purchase travel insurance to protect yourself.
CANCELLATION INSURANCE
Heliski Consultants Ltd highly recommends that you buy cancellation insurance for your Heliski trip and your flight ticket! This insurance must cover your trip if you become ill, or have other valid reasons for not being able to come on the trip. We highly recommend your insurance covers missed International flights due to circumstances beyond your control, such as bad weather keeping you from making your flight back home, local flight cancellations, bad weather keeping the helicopter from flying you back to the base, natural disasters, earthquakes, flooding, rioting, protests, etc. That said, HSC will do its best to assist you under any and all circumstances to keep any delays from happening but we will not be responsible for the outcome caused by circumstances beyond our control. The insurance should also cover your trip in case Heliski Consultants Ltd has to cancel due to circumstances beyond our control, such as no snow, severe avalanche conditions, bad weather, helicopter problems, pandemics, war, or natural disasters. Should Heliski Consultants Ltd have to cancel the trip, the 30% deposit is not refundable, so at the very least, you should ensure your deposit and your flight ticket, but we suggest you get 100% coverage in case the cancellation is on your behalf, as Heliski Consultants Ltd does not allow refunds 10 weeks prior to departure. You can either get this insurance from your travel agent, personal insurance broker, or through the following Travel Insurance group. (For example Global Rescue, AXA, Europ Assistance, etc)
COVID
Heliski Consultants Ltd highly recommends getting insurance for Covid-related issues, as Heliski Consultants Ltd takes no responsibility for any Covid related issues. This includes but is not limited to testing positive before the beginning of the trip, flight cancelations, trip cancelations, country closures, getting Covid while on the trip, loss of work due to being stranded, any and all expenses due to Covid issues including the loss of your heliski trip.
Heliski Consultants Ltd is also not responsible for any issues caused by the current situation in Ukraine, these include canceled flights, country closures, loss of work due to being stranded, loss of your heliski trip, any and all costs caused by having to extend your stay or increased cost for your flight ticket back home.
