TERMS & CONDITIONS

Heliski Consultants Ltd (HSC) is a ski and adventure company that works with second and third-party professionals such as licensed and insured UIAGM /IFMGA guides who are 100% responsible and liable for your safety while on the mountain and independent service operators required to perform the needs of each specific trip. These independent operators consist of but are not limited to operators or companies in charge of helicopters, commercial airlines flights, ships, ski lifts, hotels/lodges, food and beverages, land transport, local agencies, and or ministries.

The above-mentioned second and third-party operators are independent operators and 100% responsible and liable for the services they are on contract for.  Heliski Consultants is not responsible for any issues created by the second or third-party supplier’s actions. The second or third-party suppliers are 100% liable for any disruption of the trip, missed days, and losses or refunds caused by their actions which include, but are not limited to mechanical issues, no-shows, injuries, accidents, etc.

RESERVATIONS, DEPOSITS AND FINAL PAYMENT

Deposits:
A deposit of 30% of the trip cost is required on a per person basis at the time of booking, and or a deposit of 30% of the trip cost for all Privates groups. The initial deposit confirms your acceptance of HHSG’s terms and conditions. This deposit constitutes a tentative reservation, which becomes confirmed only upon receipt of full payment, which is due 10 weeks prior to departure. Final Payments:
Full payment is due 10 weeks prior to the first day of your scheduled heliski trip. Payments can be made via Bank Wire transfers, cashier checks, and Traveler Checks, personal checks are not accepted. All payments are to be made in euros. Please identify all payments clearly with your name, address, date of the trip, and if applicable groups name. A reservation may be cancelled if we have not received full payment by the due date. Last-minute clients making a reservation 10 weeks or less prior to the scheduled trip must pay in full upon making a reservation. If needed extra time can be arranged for full payment.

Cancellations:
If it becomes necessary for you to cancel your reservation, we require notice in writing. If we receive a cancellation notice more than six months prior to the skiing date, all the money on the deposit will be refunded to less than 1000.00 Euro per person. If we receive a cancellation notice less than six months prior to the heliski trip, the entire deposit is non-refundable. When we receive a cancellation notice less than 10 weeks prior to the skiing date all money on the account is non-refundable. Monies on deposit will not be carried forward to future seasons. Obviously, this cancellation policy does not apply to last-minute clients. Last-minute clients are required to pay in full at the time of making the reservation.

Refunds:
Our heliski trips begin and end on specific days. No refund is given, in whole or in part, for unused days or transportation, resulting from late arrival, early departure, or for any other reason. Likewise, there are no refunds given for ‘Down Days’ if bad weather or helicopter breakdown prevents us from skiing on any given day. Heliski Consultants Ltd guarantees eight runs per day; the runs vary from 700 to 1,200 vertical meters with the run and conditions dictating the vertical of each individual run. Heliski Consultants Ltd will refund 40.00 Euro per un-skied run. We guarantee 4 runs a day or x amount of hours given for the trip, the total amount of runs will be dictated by the program you choose, for example, a 3-day trip would come with 12 runs guaranteed, a 5-day trip with 20 runs guaranteed, etc. If we go over the allowed flying time hours before making all the guaranteed runs, you will need to pay for more hours if you wish to continue to ski. No refund on runs will be given if you decide not to ski one day (or days), sit out a run, or come back earlier, regardless of the reason. You may transfer to another trip without penalty up to 90 days before departure. If you transfer from one trip to another within 89 days of departure, however, you are subject to the usual Cancellation Fees. HSC highly recommends you purchase travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, evacuation, and medical. The flying time hours given for the trip are more than enough to make the guaranteed runs in the designated heliski areas. Heliski Consultants Ltd does not charge for extra runs, only extra flying time. If the group decides to take advantage of an exceptional day or days and ski more runs than the daily quota, its possible, although this normally means it will use up the flying time hours allotted for our guaranteed heliski trip, should this issue come up, extra hours may be needed to complete the week. Also, should the group want to go into areas outside the designated area and due to this it exceeds the flying time given for the week, the guarantee on runs and hours for the week will be nonvalid. All extra hours must be paid in cash before extra flying time is allowed, extra flying time costs are to be announced at the beginning of the year. Any trip discounts given will be deducted from the guaranteed runs should the situation arise.

IMPORTANT INSURANCE

Cancellation Insurance:
Heliski Consultants Ltd highly recommends that you buy cancellation insurance for your Heliski trip and your flight ticket! This insurance should cover your trip if you become ill or injured before and during the trip, and other valid reasons for not being able to come on the trip. The insurance should also cover your trip in case Heliski Consultants Ltd has to cancel due to circumstances beyond our control, such as no snow, severe avalanche conditions, bad weather, helicopter problems, strikes, etc. The initial 30% deposit is nonrefundable so at the very least, you should ensure this initial deposit and your flight ticket, especially if it’s a non-refundable ticket. It is suggested you get 100% coverage in case the cancellation is on your behalf, as the entire deposit for the trip is non-refundable 10 weeks prior to departure. You can either get this insurance from your travel agent or personal insurance broker or through the following Travel Insurance groups:   Mondial Assistance and Elvia Secure Trip Plus LifelinePlus Inc.

Health Insurance:
Heliski Consultants Ltd does not carry health, life, or injury insurance for our skiers. It is required that you carry your own personal health & injury insurance and you provide proof of this before starting the trip. Heliski Consultants Ltd requires you to carry insurance for life and health care risks. Be sure that it covers you for your heliski trip to Greece.

Emergency Evacuation Insurance:
In the case of injury to skiers, helicopter ambulance expenses will be charged to the injured party. We recommend that everyone carry evacuation insurance, we recommend Global Rescue www.globalrescue.com

Personal Property Insurance:
We also recommend that your personal belongings be also insured against loss. Your homeowner’s insurance may not be enough. Make sure this insurance covers you while you are in Greece.
